Where Preschool and Elementary Children Grow Through Hands-On Farm Experiences and Faith-Guided Learning
Our programs value hands on child-led learning methods
Alsea River Christian Farm Academy programs champion hands-on, child-led methods because children learn best when they are active participants, not passive listeners. Guided by faith and immersed in our farm setting, students follow their innate wonder—harvesting vegetables to understand God's provision, feeding and caring for animals, building with natural found objects, or quietly observing creation to spark questions about the world around them. This respectful, individualized path nurtures intrinsic motivation, practical skills, emotional growth, and a deeper connection to both the natural world and their Creator.
Preschool
“Little Lambs on the Farm” A joyful, faith-filled preschool where tiny hands discover God’s goodness through play, animals, and the soil.
We nurture the whole child — spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually — in a loving, multi-age farm setting. Through gentle daily rhythms, simple Bible truths, and meaningful farm chores, our preschoolers grow in wonder, kindness, responsibility, and readiness for kindergarten.
Core Verse “Train up a child in the way he should go…” (Proverbs 22:6) and “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden… to work it and take care of it.” (Genesis 2:15)
Lower Elementary
Growing Stewards of Creation A joyful, faith-filled continuation where young explorers build strong foundational skills through farm-integrated lessons and real-world adventures. Tiny hands turn into capable ones as children discover God’s goodness in creation—measuring garden rows for math, studying animal nutrition for science, and walking forest paths or tending the river to learn stewardship.
We nurture the whole child—spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually—in our loving, multi-age farm community. Through gentle daily rhythms, Bible stories of creation and caring for God’s world, meaningful chores like collecting eggs, planting seeds, feeding animals, forest walks, river care, art inspired by nature, music, and more, our K–2 students grow in wonder, kindness, responsibility, cooperation, and readiness for the next steps in learning—all while deepening their awe of the Creator.
Homeschool Co-op
A joyful, enriching homeschool co-op experience meeting two days a week for 3–4 hours, where children come together to learn, play, and grow in a loving farm setting surrounded by friends. Designed as a perfect complement to your home-based homeschooling, these dedicated community days provide meaningful socialization, collaborative hands-on adventures, and shared faith moments—helping address the natural desire for peer connection while keeping your family’s rhythm flexible and child-centered.
We nurture the whole child—spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually—through gentle group rhythms, real farm experiences, and Bible truths woven into activities. Children build deep friendships, practice kindness and cooperation, take turns leading and listening, and develop confidence in a multi-age community of like-hearted homeschool families. Hands-on learning comes alive with peers from other homeschool families and those attending full day at Alsea Academy.
This low-commitment, high-impact format offers the best of both worlds: rich socialization and group learning opportunities without overwhelming your home routine, while reinforcing the faithful foundations you cultivate daily at home.
